Privacy Policy

CHUNS is a desktop companion app for macOS. Our privacy philosophy is simple: CHUNS does not collect personal data, and we do not connect to any servers of our own.

Data We DO NOT Collect

• We do not own remote databases or user accounts.
• The app does not ask for or store your name, email, location, contacts, or advertising identifiers.
• We do not include third-party trackers, analytics, or profiling SDKs.
• We do not access your camera, microphone, or local personal documents.
• No sign-ups or credentials are required to use the app.

Where Your Data is Saved

Your companion's state (hunger, energy, link level, earned stars, focus streaks, and equipped CHUN) is saved locally on your Mac.

If you have Apple iCloud enabled on your Mac, this state automatically synchronizes privately across your own devices using Apple's secure infrastructure (iCloud Key-Value Storage). We do not have access to your iCloud files or synchronization payloads.

Retention and your controls

Local state remains in the app storage on your Mac until you change it, reset the available settings, or remove that app data through macOS. If iCloud synchronization is enabled, Apple may retain the synchronized state in your Apple account under its own terms.

CHUNS does not currently provide a single in-app control that deletes both the local state and its iCloud copy. We cannot access or delete information held in your Apple account on your behalf. Local notification permission can be changed at any time in macOS System Settings.

In-App Purchases

All optional Star (⭐) purchases are processed entirely through the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store payment details or billing statements. Transactions are managed by Apple under their own privacy guidelines.

Website hosting and your rights

The petchuns.com website is hosted by Hostinger. Its infrastructure may process technical access records such as IP address, date and time, request method and requested resource to operate and secure the service. CHUNS does not add analytics, advertising trackers or non-essential cookies. Hostinger acts as a service provider under its applicable data-processing terms; technical retention depends on the service configuration and applicable legal duties.

Where data-protection law applies, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or objection by writing to info@meypidevs.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or your competent supervisory authority.

Children's Privacy

CHUNS does not solicit or collect information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
