How do I interact with my CHUN?
Single-click on your companion to pet them, double-click to get a friendly wave, triple-click to tickle them, and secondary click (two-finger tap or Ctrl+click) to play a scare reaction. You can also drag them anywhere along the screen.
How do I open the shop or change my companion?
Click on your active CHUN to open its main panel; click the “CHUNS Shop” section in the top header. You can also right-click the system icon in the macOS menu bar. The five core characters are free: simply click Equip on the pet you want.
What is focus mode?
It is an integrated concentration timer (Pomodoro style) with session options of 25, 45, or 60 minutes. Your CHUN will "study" next to your menu bar. Completing sessions successfully rewards you with Stars and maintains your daily study streaks. Open it from the companion's dashboard.
Does CHUNS drain battery or memory?
No. CHUNS is written natively in Swift 6 (SwiftUI + AppKit) and optimized for Apple Silicon. In idle states, its CPU usage is under 0.5% and memory footprint is about 19 MB of RAM, ensuring your MacBook stays cool and quiet.
Does the app track or store my data?
Zero tracking. All progress, levels, settings, and stars stay locally on your Mac. Sychronization across your devices runs privately via your personal encrypted Apple iCloud container. Learn more in our Privacy Policy.
How do I disable sound effects?
Right-click the CHUNS status item in the macOS menu bar and check Mute, or open the Settings panel to customize sounds.
